Hi guys just asking for a quick bit of advice, wanting to fit a fuel tank in the back of my commercial, but leave the original in place. is it just as simple as re routing the hose into the cab to the new fuel tank? going to insulate the tank inside the truck to stop the veg oil going viscous.

all help appreciated, thanks.

Well i was wanting to just disconnect the orignal lines and run them to the new tank? Thanks

Don't see why not then. there is no pump in the tank on 200/300tdi althou i don't know if the new tank will need to be a bunded one with it being inside the vehicle

I have put a tank under drivers seat, is about 25 litres, veg oil in the main tank at back, diesel in small one.
would recommend both a return and supply connection as I didn't do this initially and was gobsmacked at how much the car draws (and obviously returns) whilst running, a gallon whooshed out!!
Tank cost £25.00 made from thin steel, whacked a sender unit in there bolted inder floor with some spreading brackets, job done!! Better than one in the boot, wouldn't be any room for the dog and my 2 sons on the dickie seats!!

Ok likeing that idea sounds good you got any links for the products you bought? Cheers for help

If you look on ebay there are is a sender unit and guage for £22.00
I found a local welder to make me a tank, there was a local steel place that bent me up a net of the box first, and measured inbetween the chassis and the sill under drivers seat. Took set out to fit drill for holes for bolts and nuts
I bought 2 solenoid valves and switch (with wiring instructions) from biotuning website and a heat exchanger to heat veg oil.
I start up on diesel (small tank) returns to small tank
when warm switch to main tank (returns to main)
flush/purge before stopping with diesel but return this to main tank to not contaminate diesel
