ok. this is getting interesting. .. so... why was the engine recon'd ? did the recon people test run it before returning ? if its not throwing any fault codes, that would lead me to think of something that is not sensed.. it turns over, but doesn't fire up. unless you throw some easy start into the inlet , then it will fire but not run is that correct ?
 
I wouldn't use too much easy start if I were you, you'll kill it.
If they replaced your engine, surely it's up to them to get it running properly.
They haven't got the cam timing out or something?

question.

when you try to start it have you pulled the plugs to see if they are wet with fuel ?
 
will do tomorow,nanocom produced code p0201 today , circuit open or short, cleared it but keeps coming back,also disconected maff and it fired once, jumped fuel relay ,still no start,also on imputs security learn no, security mobilised yes, nanocom says ecu is 4litre manual?i have got more ecu s to try,thanks adam

Do i need a syncmate to get it started as nanocom wont ,or am i doing it wrong as usual,i just thought as i have engine check light ,which goes out whe n cranking,it would start ?thanks for any info in advance,
 
Looks like @merlyn82 lost the will to live.

There's a Land Rover place in/near Chesham that's supposed to be good. Never used them myself. If he comes back I'll try and find out the address. Don't go near John Dennis unless you want your wallet emptied while monkeys play with your car.
