Hi everyone,
I'm currently looking for a Defender 90 to replace my 02 discovery 2 td5.
Nothing wrong with my disco but always wanted a Defender and have now got a budget of £9500 to spend on a 90.
Must be in good condition all around as will be the new family car for many years. Must have rear seats, (3 front would be nice) and be clean and tidy. Not bothered what year or engine but preferably lowish mileage.
For information disco will be up for sale. 02, GS. 117,00miles. 2nd owner from new. Past last 5 mots with no work. Chassis solid. Full supplier dealer history to 82000 miles.
Very clean and tidy.
Any help in finding a suitable 90 will be appreciated.

If a family car a point worth noting is a 90 is actually quite small, once you have 5 in it there is barely any space for luggage.
Front middle seat is kind of okay for shorter journeys but a pita for longer ones or with adults in it tbh.
110 has a lot more room, just putting it out there

Im not saying they are a bad car, but they certainly would not be be my first choice for a family car.

Not practical as a family car. Unless it left the factory with 3 front seats and the V5c shows 5 seats you might have problems getting insured (or at least you would need to speak to the insurance company first). With bums on front and rear seats there virtually zero space for any luggage, maybe just a carrier bag with an apple in it.

Wouldn't be my choice for a family car either.
You need to take one for a drive, with the family, and any stuff they may want to take with them, before making any decisions.
To be legal, it would need to be a Station Wagon, eg, seats in the back as standard.
The middle front seat is not usable except for a child, preferably a child with one leg.
And they are quite thirsty, and not usually 100% reliable, so unless you can walk to the shops, or have another vehicle as back up, give it a swerve.

Kind of given up looking as haven't been able to find anything for a sensible price in decent condition. Decided to keep the Discovery and spend some money on tidying it up a bit and giving it a big overhaul.
However if something decent comes along I'd consider it.
Send me some pics and details.
