i have 2001 P38 Vogue, which has developed wanderlust, it picks up on every white line, and bump in the road and decides to go wherever it likes. steering damper has been changed front tyres are new and all ball joints etc are fine with no free play, but still it has a mind of its own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my wife refused to drive it as she wants to stay on the road. ANY IDEAS thanks:)

P38s are prone to "tramlining" if you use any wheel size above 18" and any tyres other than Pirelli Scorpions......it improves a million percent if you use 18" Scorpions, although there are those with 22" bling bling wheels with spinners who argue their wheels are fantastic......:D

Avoid cheap tyres or even other good makes, and go for nothing other than the Scorpions - you are more or less guaranteed to improve the wafting about the road right away.

thanks for replies, wheels are standard 18" with new Pirelli Scorpion outer edges do seem a little worn already but tracking is spot on as far as can tell suspesnion height is correct and a full laser geometery check showed nothing wrong but still it wanders
