On a 1986 petrol 90 2.5 where are you supposed to fit wading plugs. Normally its the bell housing drain hole and crank case ( well on tdi's any way)
Had a look and cant see anywhere they may need to go. (No holes under bell housing) So any pointers where / if they need them.
Now I know I shouldnt be wading anyway in a petrol but a friend of mine just got a load of crap into his bell housing on a p&p site after sitting in a muddy puddle for 10 mins and that could have been me if I had been leading.
which brings me onto next question. His clutch has now gone very hard to press in after that day. Someone said its probably crap in the bell housing and it will need gearbox removing and housing needs stripping. Is that right or is there anything we can try in the meantime as he cant really afford it at the moment. (his 90 is a 200 tdi)
any help & advice most welcome
