VIN Numbers!

Guys could someone explain how to use the 'codes' when buying parts!

Im just on Paddocks wanting to buy discs and pads however......

Iv got a choice, iv narrowed the pads down to two possible matches but there are ' 1986 to HA701009' and 'HA701010 on'!!!

Now it doesnt make any sense with regards to either my VIN number and my axle number!

Is there an easy way to identify which ones i need and gow these codes work please?

I have a 90 which i think is a 1989 model (Its on a Q and tracked this down to be a 1989)

HA701009, etc, should be a part of the VIN. Do a google search on the land rover VIN codes, compare your VIN to this one and it should be obvious.

I have a 1991 which has a vin code that falls well inside the HA701009.

So, but never assuming, if it says 1986 to HA701009 and mines a 1991 then yours being 1989 should fall into the same group.

That is unless your axles, brakes etc have not been replaced by much never parts.
