So having purchased another P38 2.5 I thought I might as well take over an old thread.
Its got a few issues, namely the handling... its getting a bit scary! Feels like a panhard rod bush, ive not been under it yet to check.
One of the tyres is cracking all over - replacement ordered.
Gearbox is a bit cack... i think the syncromesh is gone from 5th - 4th? and also getting it into 2nd from 1st is a bit of a crunchy affair. But it works there or there abouts.
Having sorted its issue of a lack of power (couldnt get above 60mph) down to a combination of fuel filter, map sensor hose, and intercooler hose all being knackered its now much better. But Ive got a roverron box on order as i had one on my last un' and it made the car much better.
Viscous fan was seized so ive removed that and plan to do @Datatek 's mod to get the aircon fans to do the cooling.
However last night on the way home from work it started playing funny buggers and kept overheating if i went anywhere near the accelerator. Managed to limp it home eventually. I suspect the stats failed so I have one on order. I checked the coolant and it hadnt lost a drop.
