L322 Vibration through the seats at 55-60

so the next issue is I've got a small amount of vibration through the car at 55-60mph, it's not coming through the steering wheel. It's not wheel balancing etc as I've changed the wheels and the vibration still happens. It seems worse if I'm accelerating slowly through that speed and stops if I back off the revs, and I don't feel it if I'm racing through that speed.
Ang suggestion where to start?
 
It's a diesel. Wouldn't rule out the box but it's not that old. Around 20,000 miles. Would it be worth doing s fluid and filter change?
 
Check the prop-shaft joints and rubber couplings (if there are any on the L322). Any wear/movement in these will cause a vibration at certain speeds.
 
The centre support for the prop shaft appears to have around 3-4mm of travel in all directions. Does that sound right or is it a failed part?

Get under it and have a good look.
Sounds like drivetrain if it stops on lift off but could easily be an engine or gearbox mount gone as this moves more on acc.
Do the newer RRs still leak like the old ones or is it all dry underneath.
 
This sounds like the same issue I am currently looking for a prop- shaft fabricator for. Had mine producing same symptoms, checked tyres and wheel balance. then boys got under her and there is play in the rear prop-shaft. Just waiting on Colin etting back to me ref exact area that has 'play'. Then will see if the whizz kid that is Ant has an answer re fabrication or part replacement.

From what I remember - and I could be wrong - but the centre bearing for the rear prop is part of the prop assembly... i.e. the prop is made with that bearing place and can't be removed cos the UJs are at each end....

There should Ideally be no play in a pillow block bearing!

EDIT: Looking at the parts diagram....it may be possible to replace just the bearing....if you can find one!

Thanks GDM. Ant if I recall correctly that is the diagram they showed me and on checking they found it didn't come as a separate part. It is OEM only and has to be full part, at over £600 plus VAT, or thereabouts. I'll know more in ten days when I go down to get brake pipes replaced. I'll pay attention this time and share the knowledge :)
