Hi all
My 300tdi has started to vibrate or shudder from about 50mph. Its noisier and seems to get worse going up hill.
The mechanic i took it too said my clutch was slipping and i had a new clutch fitted. Unfortunately its not cured it. Shudder and noisier at higher speeds.
In first to third gear its fine.
Apologies if this has been discussed before?
Thanks

Have a gander at your running gear, particularly prop uj's and sliders. If somethings tired it wouldn't hurt to check halfshaft play and all other suspension bushings. Sticky brake calipers as well maybe.

For a bit of fun I'm gonna put 50p on.....rear prop uj at diff end 😅

Well I will go with one of the gbox mounts - 50 p in my currency is about 12 beers so too rich of a bet for me

although with clutch replaced you would think a bad mounting would have been seen - although same for the rear uj

Back in May had similar issues, roughness mostly when accelerating and working harder like going up hill.
New mounts, engine and box sorted it.

Though you could reproduce a similar effect with a jubilee clip(s) though at today's prices that could work out more expensive

I had a slight vibration over 50mph on me D2, the balance weight on the rear prop had half peeled away. Tapped it back and cable tied it sorted it 😅👌🏻

Recently been thru the intake and egr tract on me little van. Had to replace a few jubilees, it actually worked out cheaper to get t-bar clamps for the intercooler pipes!
