dunno im lost
reet done a search on my vibration problem, i it seems because my lifted fender with cc radius arms fitted, i need either wide angled props or a double cardon prop, my question is has any one had any experiance of either of these props coz i dunt want to waste the little bit of cash i have and it not cure the problem, also been told a disco 2 front prop will fit if i change the transfer box flange is this true?

Double Cardon prop, mate fitted one to his Disco for exactly same reasons, yokes 'tangling', supplied by Scorpion Racing, and had quite a bit of trouble with it. Dunno about Scorpion or the full story, but the prop did work properly in the end.

D2 prop, is a double cardon prop, but they can't be greased so might not last long for off-roading without regular maintenance!!??

However, one of the things mate did while his prop was being deliverd was to simply mark the prop yokes (felt pen or similar), run the disco for a while (100 yards or so and over humps and bumps to work the suspension, then simply used a grinding wheel to grind off where the yokes had been marked. Apparently it didn't need a lot grinding off but it completely cured his vibrations. However, when he finally got a decent dc prop he kept the ground one as a spare. Might be worth a try, but bear in mind that props are usually balanced, so whilst it might stop the yokes touching and binding, it might introduce vibration (due to imbalance) somewhere else in the rev range.

He did say he didn't think strength had been compromised and I do know he used it again at least for a couple of months, including lots of off-roading.
