I have just developed an intermitent vibration from the back of my 2007 freelander. This only started after having replaced 4 Tyres I have had the wheel balance checked twice and all wheels are balanced. Anyone any ideas.

Hi and welcome to L/Z. Might not have been a bad idea to introduce yourself but anyhows you will get more response in the freelander (gaylander) section .

Starts when driving on motorway at about 70mph but continues when I slow down. Then it disapears altogether when I stop and restart until I reach the 65- 70 mph again.

Sorry, I thought I had introduced myself, I have never used a forum site before. I will try introducing myself again, I am a 60 year old Scot living just outside Glasgow with a 2007 Freelander. The Freelander has just recently developed a fault that I thought someone may have come across before. If I have come to the wrong site could someone point me in the right direction?

Land Rover Freelander - Land Rover Zone for freelander info, but mod may move your thread for you

buckled wheel/damper knackered/knackered bush/transmission wind up

It must be a dodgy tyre or dodgy balancing - could you have buckled a wheel somehow? Have you checked for stones/mud etc - something is obviously un-balancing one of the tyres!

Hate to say it but does sound like wheel ballance, could be rusty disc thats had an edge knocked off when changing wheels, is there any vibe through pedal? are wheels and hubs clean and smooth?
