I have a 90 and just had the clutch changed. Was driving it today and when I reach 40 in 4th or 5th I get a strong vibration over the entire car. Don't know why, can someone enlighten me please. It's a 2.5 td(19j) not that I think that would cause a problem.

Thanks in advance.

What kind of vibration is it? Does it feel like the steering?

Does it disappear at higher speeds?

Can you feel it strongest through the gearbox/gear stick?

OSD

Wow has to be the quickest response ever thank you.

It's the actual body of the vehicle. There is a small amount of vibration up the steering but nothing compared to the bodywork. It doesn't disappear as soon as I go over the 40mph, it does ease when I stop accelerating and cruise.

I had a garage do the clutch and assumed that it would be put back together properly. Do you think if I take it back to them I can say they have to repair it without charging?

Ok thank you. I will have to check it out when I get a chance. Thanks again for the responses.

could be alot of things and posting massive list might confuse ,props a common fault especially when been removed/split when taking box out google propshaft alignment if your unsure yours are right a picture is easier than explanation, any movement in ujs is bad,if isnt props we can all go from there :)good morning mr station did you get your diff and did you have to return old one

Thank you James. Will do that.

Oddie, if only I had a fiver (playing violins) I'm a poor student. Genuinely poor haha.

I have had a new clutch slave cylinder fitted and picked my 110 up from the garage today and also have an occasional vibration. ( only started today, was fine before) Seemed like it was coming from the read underneath. It seems at it's worst at speed when i come off the accellerator.

Prop shaft alignment?

Only one section of the exhaust needs to be removed to change the slave, check your exhaust is back together properly

When i had that problem, It was my prop shaft . im not as mechanical as all these guys but that was my experience. Diff locked home and a new leather belt.

Hi if you look at your propshaft the fixed part of the shaft each end attaches to the uj's the fixed parts that look like a c at each end should line up if they don't thats the answer, they could be 180 degrees out of course, best to check on a flat surface>-<.
when they removed the prop one end could of dropped out and they put it back in could just be a spline out they are balanced with weights in manufacture.
good luck
