Hello all

On Our recent purchase of an l322 range rover, we found the infamous venture cam, but every time we have tried to use it nothing happens

It plugs in shows it's docked and charging lets us delete and learn camera but as soon as "use now " is clicked it displays the message below.

( I removed the cover to check the inside for corrosion)
Any help much appreciated

Probably has a knackered battery. Does the torch function work on it?
Still not a real test as that's only powering the LEDs I suspect.

Yes the red

Yes the red lights do work and stay lit , how ever the charging display constantly shows it with no battery and never gets full.

Hi there , I replaced the battery and it's still not connecting, the only reason I'm trying to fix this is to trouble shooting a canbus error.

Is there a module for it ?

Sorry I have no idea how it connects to the car but I doubt it's on the canbus., although it may send the images over the canbus. I suspect it uses RF but I've never been able to find any info on it.
What's the canbus error you're trying to fix?

Scratch all that , we managed to fix it.

The motherboard that the actual camera is connected to had a poor connection that when pushed forward made the camera work.

And the fault code (companion camera input failure) has disappeared.

Out of interest where is that motherboard please? I haven't been able to find any info on how it works. I thought the holder just provided power.
