On two occassions recently I have left my 1.8 (2003) fully secure overnight only to find it unlocked with the rear window down the following morning. Any ideas anyone?

window goes down when power from battery removed. Check battery terminals for a kick off

the rear window drops and all doors unlock if yu hold the unlock button down - hence the sitting on it post.

nope
It has to disconnect to be able to reconnect in first place
assuming it was connected to start with
May be that you are just sitting on the fob, Doesn't it relock though if the doors are not opened or is that too technical for a Freelander ?

Keys are hung on hook.
No kids at home.
Battery fully charged and terminals tight.
Will relock on fob but rear window stays down.
Both times it has happened there has been a lot of condensation.

i had this problem with my 2003 3dr,
i found it normally happened when i left the keys in my pocket and was mooching about the house, i now leave the keys elsewhere and it not happened since,
i'd have put it down to pressing buttons while in pocket but i am new to all this and still wet behind the tabs.
i know for a fact everyone else has more knowledge and experience than me but thought i'd share anyway.

keys keys keys - everytime. Had same problem - put keys on the side each night now it never happens.
Shame the bloody window won't go down when you point the fob at it but it will work from inside the house!

what isn't good is when the car is parked on a street in a scabby area. was quite supprised no one had been it while i was fast asleep.
always hang out of bedroom window now before tuning in for the night just to double check it is locked,

yes it made me very paranoid. I left a load of equipment in the car - came down in the morning and all unlocked!
Still don't trust it - but i'm positive it was the keys in pocket.
