I just noticed this company advertising in the December LRM issue

Yorkshire Green Fuels

Anyone heard of them or sued them before as it sounds to good to be true?

As of yet I have not used any vegetable oil in my 300tdi as when I looked in to it a litre bottle off the shelf at most supermarkets was over £2.00, much more than diesel is.

£2.00 a litre :eek:, where do you shop harrods ? :D less than a £ in morrisons .

As long as you want to die from either methanol poisoning (blind,mad,dead in that order)or the result of a methanol powered bang then buy one of these deathtraps.

If you can plumb and can get your hands on an immersion heater tank and a TAM105 pump you can build a safe proccessor yourself.

Unless it is me being lazy (probably is :rolleyes:) that looks like a lot of hard work. Due to the health hazzards though, on here and other forums, I think give it a a miss.

Has anyone actually ever bought all ready made bio diesel though, I have seen this guy:

Home - Fareham Biodiesel

but was wondering if there is one closer to Surrey, East/West Sussex that people may know of.

It is a fair amount of work but you dont need to babysit the thing while it works...i usually set my batch going then work on my RR or van or do a bit in garden.
Look at it another way.....pump price £1.08 ish at the mo in Sheffield....the stuff i make usually costs me 19p per litre to make....electricity and chemicals make up the bulk of the cost...and you can make and use 2500l a year with no duty payable.


And if you dont want to make it GIVE ME YOUR OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D

Tesco, KTC pure Veg oil. Unfortunatley I was enquiring, and it was a special offer for Eid, at Tescos with an "Asia" section, have a look at yours to see if they still have it. I stocked up on 70 litres, all gone now sadly.

You'll be tempted by some of the nice looking ingrideints in the asian Aisle too!
