Ive read through a few threads on seized VCUs but I am not sure if my problem is very common. Whilst fighting my way through torrential rain the other day I hit a large puddle at about 50mph, did a little aquaplaning and then bang, bang, bang, bang. I guess both front wheels lost grip and punched all the power to the back where the outer ring of the rear part of the VCU split off and spun around the rear prop a few times. You can see on the photos where is should be and where it ended up! Inside this 15mm ring of steel there are 3 white (Plastic?) plates with 4 rubber fins in between each (A couple of these are metal) and it looks like the rubber parts have split, leaving the rest on the VCU. It also pushes back on quite easily. Has anyone come across this problem before? The FL drove fine before this happened. A few queries..
1) Can this part be replaced as it appears there is only 3 bolts holding it on?
2) Do you think Im looking at a whole new VCU unit?
3) Is it easier to drop the VCU and props out together rather than just the VCU?
