sorry to keep dragging up old posts, but does anyone elses hippo cruse at 70 between 2500 - 3000rpm???

mines practically red lineing at 70

ever tried changing up a gear?

sorry to ruin your world, but my td4 auto commercial touches 90 at 3000 revs

i think my taco's out of spec, turbo kicks in at about 4000rpm and it pulls off the clock,

my taco was out of spec once so i called the waiter over and gave him a right bollocking!

As mentioned on your previous thread, I had exactly the same loss of power problem at 70mph on motorways with my 2002 TD4. Was not impressed with Landrover Dealer who pretended they had never heard of this problem. They put my vehicle on the computer diagnostic test and said 'intermittent turbo failure', "we are not sure, but we think you need a new turbo, will cost £1000+ + labour".

In desperation I fitted one of Reverron's synergy boxes just to see, problem has never re-occurred for over 6 month's now. Very dissapointed with L/R dealer, they also said they would check the problem with L/R technical dept and call me, but they never called me back, but quite happy to take my money!!

Service bill, including 'diagnosis' £600.

If someone could recommend me a good independent landrover specialist in North-East England I would greatly appreciate it!
