Now I think I have series van sides but when I tried to fit my roof yesterday it didn't fit. There is a gap at one end of the panel. I used foam tape on the tub as a seal. Is there a seal I need and which is the right one?

If I adjust this bracket down one space, this is what happens:

Have I done something wrong or do I just need to buy the proper seal between the side and the tub?

I just swapped by van sides for window ones on my 1998 90 and theres a rubber strip at top, and foam insert on bottom.

The problem is Im not sure what sides I've got as it used to be a soft top?

Looking at the inside of your van sides the strengthener goes from side to side as does series van side strengthener's and defender inner van side strengthener's go from top to bottom so i would say your's are series van sides.

i was going to go this way as my 90 has windows in the side but got told that series van sides won't fit as a 90 is longer than a series swb so i never bothered but since fitting the special tracks i quite like it now the way it is :)

I thought more of the washers came off the round thing with the bolt through it that the bracket bolts to. Looks to me like it's been painted over and they are stuck together.

When I swapped my truck cab for van sides I used all the van hardware I'm sure round bit on mine is a lot lower than that.
