Well think I've decided I've had enough of this disco, and think I'll just sell up and get another one. Just want to get a general idea what I would expect to get back from it. Paid 2500 for it not too long ago. about 204k on it
So the good points:
Tidy bodywork, all pretty clean and no dents/rust.
Nice interior, black leather with no tears yet and all electric, seat heater even works on your back too.
Headlights never mist up!
"Upgraded" radio, well according to the last guy.
18" tidy facelift alloys.
Full boot liner from door to front seats.
Steering is tight, new rods.
err probably some other stuff... aircon works.. kinda

Bad points:
Although Chassis isn't too bad it will need one weld up a split on the rear, and really in need of painting.
Air suspension has been changed for springs.. some might see that as good.. not me
Fuel tank is leaking, just needs a new high pressure pipe.
Transfer box is dripping a very small amount on output shaft... looks like previous owner tried to put some liquid gasket on the OUTSIDE of the box. But i do have a spare box here I could throw in.
You get a shower when its raining.. yes the fill plug... I mean sunroof is leaking.
Engine is just... well throws some smoke under hard throttle, EGR probably... used to smoke a lot on the cold mornings though, but white smoke. But in all fairness it always keeps going.
Even got a spare engine here but its mint and dont really want to throw that in.
Its not the nicest ride, well not so much the ride but the interior plastics seem to creek a lot over bumps. This simply annoys me, maybe it could use some new shocks.
The front propshaft is in major need of replacement.
I've just noticed the ACE valve block is ever so slightly weeping. Not enough to drop the fluid though.
f*cking 3 amigos, first hawkeye said shuttle valve now it says one of the sensors has a broken wire...
Also in major need of service/oil change.
Needs new steering rod thingy down to box, it clicks.

Better not make it sound any worse, but in all fairness Im putting serious miles on it and it hasn't let me down yet.

So just wondering what do you think I'd get back for it now?

I think you already realise you ain't going to get much more than scrap value for it in that condition and mileage.
I don’t think it’s that bad off to honest, my original plan was to engine swap it and sort the few problems, and once that’s done it would be a really nice drive.

Forgot to mention it’s an 03 Manual.

Have a look on facebook marketplace. The prices are only what some people are hoping to get, but that is the nature of selling something. It might be worth trying it at a higher price if you are not in a rush.

And then I have that thought about just getting on with it, swapping the engine for my mint one (pic included) swapping the transfer box and clutch. Sorting the sunroof and headliner, done that enough times. Replacing all ACE pipes with stainless steel hydraulic lines with a threaded valve block. oh and that fuel pipe.. eh 40 quid.
Friend will put a weld up the chassis for free.. New springs and shocks and reinstalling air suspension.
Hard decisions huh o_O

Still sounds cheaper than buying one mechanically sound with an interior as nice as this one.
