I need help please ..I have a freelander v6 ..and there is an open vacuum line on the gearbox right beneath the throttle body and I don't see any hose going there ...soooo do anyone knows where it must connect........and when it shift to the second gear while driving ...is hard like my wheels is slipping in every shift......can somebody help me???

The pipe on the top of the box is just a vent. It doesn't connect to anything, unless you want to raise it to stop water ingress.

The slamming into gear can be a few faults, so you really need to get any codes read.
If the box fluid is more than 60K miles old, then it's well past its best. Bad or old fluid can cause rough gear changes.
