V6 MAF sensor

The V6 doesn't have a MAF or Mass Air Flow sensor. It has a combined MAP / IAT or Manifold Absolute Pressure / Inlet Air Temp sensor. This is fitted into the plenum chamber behind the TB.
The Map/IAT is the black block with the orange topped plug in the center of this pic

Can this still go faulty in the same way as the MAF on a TD4?

I'm trying to diagnose the lumpy running of my V6 and getting a long list of possible things.. symptoms of a dodgy MAF fit pretty well, except having read this the V6 doesn't have one :p.

Misfire on cyl 2 is current leading contender as per ECU.
