My Rave disk dont seem to touch that area very much, and auto electrics not my forte - I know a good LR auto electrician in Alton Hants if that is any good to ya tho?
I wud have thought yu could check the wiper motor out of circuit tho, if yu knew the contacts. Does the wiper motor need a diagnostics reset?

I think i got a bit carried away with my reply on uvver fred..

Rear
Wiper
The rear wiper is switched on and off by pressing the switch mounted on the RH side of the
instrument pack. The rear wiper is controlled by the Central Control Unit (CCU) and will only
operate when the ignition switch is in the 'ignition' position.
NOTE: Rear wiper operation will NOT be suspended while the engine is cranking.
The rear wiper will stop operating and return to its park position if any of the following occur:
 The tail door is opened.
The tail door window is opened.
The roof is removed (3 door vehicles only).
If the windscreen wipers are in operation and reverse gear is selected, the rear wiper will
automatically operate at slow speed, irrespective of rear wiper switch position. The rear
wiper will stop operating when reverse gear is de-selected.

Thanks for that,I have tried the reset procedure, but it don't work.If I open the back door the window goes all the way down, instead of stopping after a few millimetres. The window then goes up when the button is pressed, but reaches the top then goes down again. The only way I could close it was to hold the glass at the top for a few seconds as the button was kept pressed. The strange thing is that the wiper was working perfectly well before I disconnected the battery..........Wonder if they make a clockwork Freeklander....flyboy2

see other post - have added stuff
I couldn't believe that for once it wasn't the fault of the car.It would seem that a dickhead must have reversed into the back of the car,or rather the spare wheel and pushed the door panel in very slightly. This in turn was stopping the window from moving all the way down and of course the sensor detected that the window was open and kept trying to close. The wiper motor was also being affected and couldn't move properly, but the strange thing was that the door didn't look damaged.Still,I have something else to complain about now,as the interior lights have stopped working.........flyboy2
