Having just bought my 2002 Freelander TD4 I have been generally sorting things out to bring it up to scratch. When I bought it, I was told that it had a 3month or 10000 miles warranty which was reassuring, but I was wondering what these type of casual (ie no paperwork) arrangements cover.
For example, I notice that the clutch slips ever so slightly under 'full beans' acceleration and there is a a slight whine coming from the rear when decelerating - both things didn't show up on my brief test drive before the sale. Has anyone had expereince in this area?
I am going to bung it into my local (& trusted) mechanic to give it a full service and MOT so are there any points I should ask him to look at in detail? Change all the oils, check bushes, etc?
