both of the defenders i have bought i spent a long time looking before i picked them
just because they are main dealers dont mean they aint rip off bastids (had dealings with 2 local "ish" stealers )

there pulling ya pants down.MOney off or nothing.Extras add desireability not value.Take a k off at least, more for messing with ya.Also why are you trusting em at all?Plenty of others out in the world of landies

agree with goony here.

its not free delivery when dealers change cars around all the time, they will just stick it on the next transporter or send a salesman out for the day to bring it over.

go back about the ****ty service, hold to speak to someone "cause you have been told you will get a call back before and never have" and speak to a manager.

this is a bad time for car sales and no salesman/manager will want to lose a £20000+ sale for a couple of extras.

oh and enjoy your new purchase :)

Of course £21k is a big deal to us! A very big deal. Anyway we knocked a few hundred quid off it. Still going to push for more of course...

I maintain you cannot have as much confidence in the sale of the vehicle if they cannot be truthful or accurate about the mileage!!!

We're going to give them some serious questions shortly and make it clear that they have knocked our confidence - what can they do about it, etc - you are right though and we are mindful of it.

Sounds like you have got buyers remorse before the thing even arrives.

If I was the dealer I would keep your deposit and tell you to do one.

Seriously Mattee you do sound like a complete girl on this - are you?

I dont know how helpful this is going to be.

I have just bought a 57 reg 110 off a main Land Rover dealer but it was County which has done 20,000 miles, 7 seats warranty and full service, tank of juice, never off roaded .
I went to test drive a TD4 with a view to ordering a new one, but the car I drove was so good that bougft the second hand one. They took PX offering a good exchange that in effect meant it cost me £15,500 in real terms.

I had looked at an 09 xs with £14,000 miles on that had had a hard life and was not worth the £23K they were asking.

The equation I was working from was:
- a year was worth a grand
- and 10,000 miles worth a grand also.

Therefore your XS is not badly priced if its nice ( have a look at the chasis for rust or waxoiling) and you should get £500 discount but ask for a grand.

Hmm - helpful. Thanks. I'm sure the dealer would be completely fine to keep our deposit and not provide a car

Cheers Swoggin - should arrive Sunday if all goes well.

To be fair on Matte I think its others/us that have given him more to think about. I think he sounds like he is being cautious....if that's what girls do then count me in!!!

Ooops, sorry, that's my one.

Very nice! Ours has windows all over though and is green. And a bit older!

And had checker plate protection.

so did you get money off or not?Seing as the stealer is prepared to come hundreds of miles it does sound like ya been done over.Whos the dealer?

Why is it when I see a TDCi I am tempted to p/x my 90 in for one? :(

Really mustn't be tempted!

Anyone want to by a hardtop 90? Haha

Goon - got £300 off. Checked other ads very extensively and none get near to this for price/spec. Will see how it turns out tomorrow. Got a years tax on it.
