Ie, here’s an example from my gap iid showing the suspension re calibration screen

also curious regarding the anti roll bar dynamic system , are there connectors that plug into the top of the struts plse

The air system drained itself with the airbag being blown, so it was on bump stops. Jacked car up on jacking points, supported underneath by axle stands just in case, removed complete leg, refit new leg and lowered back to floor. Exactly like I did 4weeks earlier on other front leg. With no issues.

many thks , alas is good practice to replace the struts as a pair , seeing it was on its bump stops did u disconnect the battery at all before jacking it up plse or just jacked it up with the battery still connected

just trying to see what’s gone on seeing it was fine before the air strut was replaced

thks also about the electrical connectors , alas that’s on a later model then , was just wondering that’s all

I just jacked it up as I didn't think I needed to as I thought it's not an electrical component (how wrong I was) I think it stems down to the front bag blowing midway of calibration on icarsoft, extended mode I think it said before scaring the life out of me with a bang. That's on the info screen, and as I turn the key to on....suspension fault 30mph

As I put in the actual value of measurement into the calibration program the icarsoft cancelled the operation, I wonder if I put in the lowest values except able it would recharge the system 🤔

thks , I know that if the wrong measurement's are specified the ECU will not allow them , along with if the module has become corrupted , hopefully that’s not the case , is there any lights where the height control dial is plse

have u tried foot on the brake , engine running , then moving the dial anti clockwise and holding it there for 5 x seconds to see if anything happens

Plus wonder if u could try and put a 12 Vdc supply to the compressor it self to get it off the bump stops

can u remember what measurements u we’re putting into the diagnostics plse

fear that you’ve either corrupted the ecu, or damaged one of the height sensors , lastly have u measured the Vdc of ur battery plse as that needs to be fully charged

hope that may help

ah I see , weird why the bag blew , indeed wondering if the edu has got confused as it would have seen a quick change on the height sensors , thinking it’s on the ground ?

as far as I’m aware u need to disconnect the battery and therefore the ecu doesn’t see a rapid change on just one corner

might be different on the L322 but on the D3 the suspension has to be disabled before jacking it up, otherwise damage can happen to the height sensor / strut

The measurements were too low for the calibration and it cancelled operation so I'm thinking put higher faulse ones in,to see if compressor will inflate system. Its not the rotary type control it the up down type. Yes battery fully charged and got a smart charger on as well.

This control switch

many thks and to be honest didn’t realise they changed to that as that’s the same as mine in my D3

are there any LED lights showing on the lever plse as that will let us know if the ECU is locked out

There is no terain modes and no lights on the raise and lower switch.

thks, so indeed that means the ecu is disabled so that needs to be reactivated

will the diagnostics allow to to reset it, another thing is if u disconnect both battery leads , ensuring they don’t touch the battery itself is to touch both leads together for 5 x mins on the hope of it resetting everything

if that doesn’t work have u double checked all the relevant fuses with a multimeter plse

if all ok will need a better diagnostics to be able to reset everything

alas not sure if the Autel ap200 will work , many of us own the gap iid but are locked to the vehicle , shame ur not closer as I have a Autel mx808 which would have certainly helped

At this moment in time I just need to get some air into all 4 corners so I can drive it. I actually don't care about the correct running settings, I need the car off the bump stops....if you know where I'm coming from

I have a secondary backup battery so I'll disconnect both leave for a while and see where that leads

Would a gap ii2 do the trick

yep know where ur coming from , wonder if it’s worth trying to put a 12vdc supply to the compressor to at least make it drivable
