Just in the middle of prepping my chequer plate boot lid for a respray in Raptor as the acid etch had failed and the paint started to come away.

I cant quite remember the proper use of using Upols Grip#4 adhesion promoter, should that go on to.the Ali first then Acid Etch or Acid Etch then GRIP or just GIRP then Raptor?

Thanks

I'll be interested in that .. I thought Raptor prefers to be put on on it's own, but don't necessarily believe me on that!

I spray painted my Bonnet chequer plates (they were already fitted) with cheap aerosol from 'a supermarket' and they're looking chipped and crap again ... Not that I expected anything else mind .. :)

Exactly! When I did all the Raptor the first time Id done a LOAD of research into how to properly apply it but I cant quite remember a year on! And ive lost me bloody notes!

Ive sanded back the boot lid with a grinder + wire wheel, the Raptor hasnt come off the majority which was just Acid Etch on bare clean Ali... So I think Ill stick with Acid Etch on the bare Ali and use Grip on the Raptor areas, which I think is what its meant for haha
