I know this might sound daft,i am thinking of buying a series landy and putting a discovery diesel engine and box in it.Also discovery running gear on it, or would it be a wast of time and effort. It's just an idea at the moment of madness. Can it be done.

Axles are easy enough to convert from coil to leaves. I'm in the process of doing at at the moment :)

Few bits were head scratchers... For example the steering rods and what angle to weld on the spring mounts but other than that it's a breeze.

Only other thing is fitting converted coil sprung axles is the track width is larger so either fit spats or find some wheels with a decent offset that still fit the tyres within the arches.

Also fitting an rv8 in a couple of weeks then a 5 speed box with disco transfer box later in the year.

But yes it's all very doable.

I already have a discovery i am willing to sacrifice, don' like the disco shape always been a series fan.owned 4 in the past.Defenders are great but a little pricy for me.Never done nothing major,i can weld and paint and do basic mechanicle stuff.I am not realy an authority on landys.theres a white series 3 on the bay, looks like the bulkhead is in bad shape, nobody has bid on it.I keep looking at it.
