This side of there..
I finished my p38 upgrade today, well this phase of it anyway.
HEVAC motors that work, centre consul cup holder lid (very handy),
7 inch android tablet linked to stereo, 32gb of tunes...and WiFi through my mobile phone,
USB chargers, pillar and headlining recover, door panel upgrade and recovered, internal lighting changed to recessed LEDs with front and rear switches,
grey manual seats to beige electric seats, grey and grey to beige and black colour scheme,
dual charge system for the above and 240v 1000watt power socket in boot.
Also fitted 12v led strip on upper tailgate and now have the surface of the sun in my boot.

Some of it I would do again and some I would do differently but the main thing is I enjoyed it.
What do you think ?

I don't get it why do peeps keep upgrading these dear old motors with tacky tablets ?????:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'm in the process of fitting my new car phone into mine, a Nokia 7110 brand new same age as the car :p:D:D:D

Personally i think it looks a dogs dinner....sorry.

& where have all the logos gone from the dash buttons?

Looks like you've spent a lot of time on the refurb. its not original (purists will obviously hate it) but if it makes it more comfortable to drive then why not - not everything was better 96-02!

I'm considering replacing the tired grey interior on mine - just have to find it for the right price - and fix EVERYTHING else first!!

We all know these big old motors are worthless in the current market and a bit of a flintlock pistol for driver comfort.
I did this instead of scrapping it. Done 90k over 6 years with one or two problems and now sits at 190k.....its cost a lot of money, blood, sweat and my wife's tears.
I now know what the buttons do, where the wiring loom goes and what should be at the end of it, if it hasn't fallen off.
An expensive hobby.

if it's going to be used as a drive it and kill it, might as well. dual charge system.. where did you put the second battery ? Our silver P38 has headrest screens and a playstation in the boot so the inverter is located under the rear seat on the passenger side.

I've toyed with the idea of putting in usb panel mount charge points in discrete places. have yet to decide if i will. but then i tend more toward to the purist side so the first thing i noticed ..... your rear view mirrior isn't straight

Whatever floats your boat, personally I don't like glowing screens in any car, they do nothing for night vision and can be a dangerous distraction for some as the accident stats are showing.
I have fitted an LED light strip to replace the useless boot light though:)

Dual charge system, good for power tools, lights, flat screen TVs and any camping related junk I have to cart around in the summer.....ideal spot on a p38, my hardon crapdon system came out years ago to make space for something useful.
Difficult to secure a leisure battery in there but make sure it is clamped in good and proper.

I'm still working on the rear view mirror thing.

Which playstation do you have? I had PS2 slim in my Audi back in the day and I bought a travel adapter and wired it permanently into the 12V no inverter required.
