I am wanting to upgrade / convert the front bumper on my freelander to the 2004 style.

anyone know where I can get the parts as I am having trouble finding them...

can fit all myself.

just got given a freelander and want to do it up a little to sell on

I'm not an expert on these far from it, but from working on my 2004 facelift freelander and sourcing the parts it seems that there are very significant differences between the models. The word "facelift" is overly simplistic, there were a number of mechanical and electrical changes as well - you might cop some trouble if you sell it to someone as the facelift model but without any of the other changes.

Again, no expert, but wouldn't it be better just to get it running as well as you can and sell it on as is? If you make sure all the common problems are sorted out - head gasket, thermostat, check condition of vcu/diff mounts and new tyres - to name some, then anyone who knows anything about freelanders would find that attractive in a prospective purchase and you could command a higher price, maybe.

Hope that's useful somehow.

Do a search on here, plenty of people have done it, there are no "mechanical" differences, you need a front bumper and headlights and wire in the new lights to your existing plug or get an original plug for the new headlights, some small adjustment to the headlight panel for them to fit, rear bumper, lights and plastic boot panel for the rear some small adjustments again but easy DIY, there are full instructions if you search...;)

And your pretty arrogant! Not owned a freelander before. bought one for a bit of fun. and asked for advice. sorry my head isn't up my own arse enough to know it all off by heart!

used to audi and bmw as thats what I drive normally, so a land rover is new ground...

no harm in asking for advice.

not expecting you to know it all, prick.

Just a simple "Hello, my name is ***, I have a xyz freelander, and I'm interested in carrying out a bumper upgrade" would have been a better start than the one you made.

Arrogant I maybe, head up my arse, no.

However, the fact of your being a BMW driver speaks volumes...

In the meantime, you might like to try ebay for the parts you require, or paddocks or craddocks or any of the other suppliers of land rover parts.

If you search on this forum, there is a detailed thread somewhere with a complete shopping list.
