The PO of my 1985 (88 reg) 90 replaced the standard side, tail/stop and indicator with LED versions.
The front and rear indicators and the front side lights have been replaced with flat faced lights like NAS, with opaque lenses, which screw onto a black holder which is pushed through from the engine bay to secure them:

whereas the stop/tail lights are LED in standard Landy dome style:

The only marking on them is: PART#LED5012-06

They are very bright but I would like the all to be the same i.e. all flat faced or all traditional domes. It would be cheaper just to get a pair of tail/stops like the rest but I cannot find them anywhere. Photos uploaded to Google don't find anything and trawling through LED light vendors including truck lights produces nothing.

If anyone has or has seen such lights I'd be grateful for any info. Actually I'm tempted to replace them with traditional dome LEDs but it's a lot of money when I have fully working lights.

Cheers

They could be military spec lights. Try speaking to Paddocks or Craddocks they have a wide selection.

Cheers, tried them but they have nothing like these. They are all plastic, the lenses are frosted not dimpled or patterned, the holder fits behind the panel and pokes though and the lens screws onto the holder securing it to the panel; no screws or fixings.
Not really important, just my CDO (OCD in the correct order!) o_O

Cheers.
Probably wait a while before deciding what to do (and what to spend!) but I think that I will eventually put standard looking LED lenses on .

Led kits are good as they come with correct indicator relay. Yes but expensive but they work.
Attached photo for leds.fog & reverse light leds are britpart but still look standard.(& work :))

Same bolt pattern as standard with captured bolts and crimped ends.(not 300tdi plugs)Nice and easy to fit. Reverse light can be a bit dim that's why I have 2. Fog lights the also the same standard set up.
Only problem they don't give you the nuts to fix.

Was the LED reverse light ( single lamp ) noticeably brighter than the standard lamp?

They are about the same brightness But I know when I turn them on they work. Unlike the bulb version.

Fog lights are brighter than standard.

I just like the standard look. Too much bling gets attention. ;)

Glad you have gone for the standard look ;)
my led fogs/reverse are britpart & still working
Also from bolt on bits got some TD5 style LED side repeaters that go straight onto my 300tdi wings.

Capo, those lights sound like JW Speaker LED lights available in UK from mobilecentre. Have a look HERE

Hi Brendan,
Thanks for the info. I hunted and hunted but I could not find the exact same ones!
The JW Speaker ones are similar but mine do not have the two screws to fix them on, rather a long central tube through which the wires protrude, fixed to the body from behind with a large washer that fits over the hole and a bolt that screws onto the wire conduit.. The lens is opaque not 'crystal' style and they were not E-marked either.

Gone now and I'm more than happy with the BoltOnBits replacements.

Capo, an 'interesting sounding' light. Have not heard of that one before.

Sounds like you have done a wise move and got rid of the non approved/illegal ones. The BoB ones should carry a valid approval mark.

Brendan

I kept one for posterity (had to cut the wires close to the conduit except for one so binned the others).
I'll pop a photo up later just for interest.

edit: this is it, large penny washer missing.
