Hi

I'm reaching out to see if anyone has a clue what this cable is? I've only just noticed this and now the Rangey is living out in the sticks this isn't going to remain connected for very long. Its dead central and under what would be level with the drivers seat, maybe just a little forward. Somewhat concerned that if it gets snagged it'll kill some needed system.

Any info would be greatly received as i have no manuals at the moment to refer against. Its an 02' Vogue with a facelift if that has any bearing on things?

Strange that there should be so much slack in the cable for it to hang down that far. It maybe a case of get under there and see where it goes to/from.

Hi all, I've pumped up the suspension crawled under and reattached it to a lug on a heat shield as a temporary measure until I find someone with RR experience in Lincs. Snooping about today I've found a couple of more issues, water ingress behind the bonnet pull, the sound proofing is damp. The rear wiper is not working so when I removed the side boot panel to inspect the relay/fuse it was wet around the fuse tray......

Morning Stu, I hope you had some stands under there when you clipped that wire up! Anyway, your water ingress sounds suspiciously like blocked sunroof drains or possibly windscreen seal, especially if the scream has been replaced in the past. Given the age of your Range it’s a fair bet.
You have more searching to do.
That’s what you get for trying to fix things, good luck and let us know what you find.
Tricky

Morning Tricky, I can feel now everyone's toes curling as I announce that I didn't, I needed to be up and out so lifted the car on it highest setting and done everything at arms length and really quick. Not right I know and not on list of favourite things to do 🙄 but I will update as and when I get things done. It's a shame as I used to be very hands on but a careless driver put paid to that when they T-boned me pulling out of a junction. Ended up with a paralysed right arm. I will endeavour to do as much as I can but some things I have to admit defeat to where cars are concerned. Anyhow I really appreciate the info! Onwards and upwards 😋
