I fitted a uj with sockets hammer and blocks of wood
And then carefully in a small vice when I had one, but did seem risky!
Big vice ideally though.
Yeah the slip joint nipple is at the end so you can't get too much in. Just enough, and then the splines draw the grease in as they move.
Mine were damn well stiff, knocked the two halves apart, good clean up, and now they're smooth and free as anything.
So smooth in fact, the front has gone a bit loose
All the more reason to buy wide angles
