L322 Underseal?

hey gents.
so this is a very nice l322.
very low mile and i had it niotrold maybe 5 years ago.
Completely solid before that little surface rust
Just noticed some surface rust at the last mot so thought to have it fixed.

thoughts?

yes.
1. I am based midlands.
2. Dinitrol was applied and is just showing some rust spots on front subframe and rear wishbones.

I could go under and sort those parts with a brush and Dinitrol but think its more robust to get it power washed all off and retreated.
Ideas?
 

With respect, this has been done to death on here :).

Some comments:-

Dinitrol manufacture one of two absolutely top notch anti corrosion waxes. :) The other is Bilt Hamber. I use both, professionally, and rate them both highly, very highly.

We NEED to see pictures to comment - IIRC, I had already mentioned this earlier in the thread....

IMHO, removing functioning wax is pointless, and a waste of money, and product. Minor "damage" can simply be treated with a proper converter ( Fertan / De-ox / et al ) and then re-waxed - again, IMHO, a relatively simple DIY job which has minimal cost - especially in the grand scheme of '322 ownership :eek:

Finally, "underseal" as a word / process / and especially as a product should be disinvented ;)

As you say, underseal should be disinvented. My Transit is undersealed, before the last MOT I found an area of seemingly intact underseal behind which there was no metal:eek:
 
Very interesting and all correct.
Made me crawl underneath with big light, scraper.
Only a very few patches of which I will now apply rust converter and reapply underseal.
Sub-frames are in supper condition. I will re apply chassis injection whist at it to the subframes also.
