Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help please, does anyone know of a current and valid download for the RAVE system, for the UK Discovery 1, 1996 300tdi?
I am trying to trace a wiring fault, and after getting one download working, it is for LHD NAS vehicles so the diagrams are incorrect.

I have also downloaded one from here:

http://www.myrangerover.co.uk/rave-workshop-manual/

But it says the PDF's are password protected.

Any help gratefully received, after trying to get this working all week I am getting frustrated!

Thanks very much.

In the case of .iso files, save the file to somewhere on your computer, don't try to open it yet.

IMPORTANT STEP ..... Next use a program such as NERO EXPRESS to burn a disc image to a CD.
Open the RAVE files by double clicking on the application .exe file on the CD.
Don't even attempt to try to open it with any other pdf viewer than the one which comes with RAVE, it just won't work.
Trying to open it in any way such as you've already tried will only result in what you've got.

Squares, use the link that discool posted, no need to do any file conversions, they download as PDF files.

I just got some of the site to add to my "library"!

Thanks all, its really appreciated.

I have got the ISO to work from the Green Oval link, strangely it was not working on Linux, when the other NAS spec one worked with no trouble, but with the incorrect loom. Its now working on an old windows laptop.

Anyway, I have another wiring diagram to try, all I am really trying to find out it what all the relays in the passenger foot well do on my Disco.I would like to label and test them all.

I have a problem with the rear fogs all of a sudden, and upon inspection the windscreen has been leaking into this area and its all rather wet. I have a replacement screen to go in, so this will of course now be boosted up the to do list.

Anyway, thanks again, it can feel quite lonely and maddening sometimes when you are scurrying around in a wet foot well with a head touch on!

By the sound of it, the OP doesn't even know about .iso files or else he wouldn't have asked how. So it's highly unlikely that he'll just happen to have Daemon tools to be able to mount it on a virtual CD FFS.

o_O calm down... Most people won't have those tools, so they would have to be downloaded, obviously. I would also say it is highly unlikely OP would happen to have Nero. Does Nero even still exist? It is a lot easier, quicker and makes a lot more sense to mount an image than to burn it to a CD, and the learning curve of how to do such a thing is about as steep as the curve of a spirit level, probably less than that of burning a CD.

Thanks for all the replies.

Its a happy ending, I traced the wiring and relay back, both were fine. Ended up being one of the pins on the back of the switch had slightly pulled out! After poking it with a test lamp, it clicked and all has started working again.

Sketchy fix, but its working and MOT Certificate has been awarded, here is to another 12 months of hell, I mean ownership :)
