a bit like gaiters on swivel balls can also trap moisture inside , id rather grease regulary especially after muddy conditions to ensure ****s pushed out of joint than joint running in wet tube

doesnt really stup much, one end is open, so all yer mud and ****e gets inside and stays there.
if it came right up and covered the bit where the bolts are, possible, but tbh cant see much use for it as it is, specially at £30...

Ill stick with 5 mins with a grease gun after an outing. £30, thats what, a pair of UJs and 2 tubs o grease...

I bet they'll keep the joints wet. Plus I expect road dirt will tend to build up inside, so a rich mixture of water grit and grease will surround the bearings in the normal course of events. I know there are seals around the roller bearings, but I can't see these things helping too much. Water gets everywhere, and takes a while to get rid of, especially if it is closed in.

Thirty quid for a bit of leftover stepped silicone hose and a jubilee clip? Giraffe, anyone?

How about the full gaitors that cover everything. Are they any better or still not worth it? Would have thought they would not let any water in, as a CV boot on a normal car keeps everything out and the grease in

Scrap that idea. They dont cover the UJ

Yes, you'd have a job getting a good seal between the piece of hose and the diff flange. Plus you'd need a means of forcing grease or EP90 into it. Sounds like too much trouble in relation to any gains to me.

At the end of the day wouldn't you rather be able to see the joint easily. If you've been playing then surely a quick run round with the oily rag followed by the grease gun is obligatory.
