G'Day to the similarly afflicted

erm... tyres, out of interest, what sort of money do 16 x 7.50' s go for new in the UK these days. I am running on a set of re-capped Avon's at present, which flat spot overnight and area bugger for the first 10 kms before they get warm and go 'round' again. I was looking at Dunlop Supergrips but...they cost 250 a corner, (approx 110 quid each) which seems a bit expensive, and..being the tight B that I am, I want to SAVE!!!

I have a mate with a container ready to leave Southampton in the next 3 weeks and he has plenty of room for a set of tyres.....your advice will be muchly appreciated.

Totaly off the thread, does your friend do much container work between blighty and aussie land and back?, there are always loads of series 1 parts and vehicles on ebay.au that i wish i could import.
Back to the tyres, 750x16 prices vary depending on what you want. I like goodyear's but not the G90as they suffer blowouts to often or michelin (xcl/xzl) as they have good road manners and wear well.

Yep, he sure does. Mainly from UK to Aus, but a few back the other way.

Anything in particular you need, I have a mountain of S1 parts, and have access to many more.
