hi every I'm new to this but I just want some advice on tyres for 2005 freelander TD4 HSE S/W A
the last ones I bought was 5 years ago 225 55 17 101W rapid P609 XL they have always been a bit noisy,
I was thinking of getting something more expensive can any one advise me please. I am hoping pull a caravan about 1000 miles next month

Michellins cross climate 2, mine have been in deep snow, floods and mud and been brilliant. Lifetime warranty.
 
If they're anything like the Crossclimate 1s that I have, absolutely. Their volume is reasonable. Though like Whisky, I got them to keep myself upright in ice and snow. No idea what they're like when towing

I had the ones on a front wheel drive focus, didn't slip on the 60 miles from Glencoe to crainlarich

I had mich (can’t remember which flavour) on my Merc back in 2018 also - didn’t slip once, all the way to Durness and back - in December 😉
