Hi,
I have 265/75/R16 tyres on Discovery 1 steel rims on my Defender 90. I have a problem where the tyres rub when on full lock against the steering stops, i think that is what they are called, I have checked they are fully wound in, so have the turning circle of a battleship. I have spoken with a local Land rover garage they say that they are rubbing as the tyres are on Disco rims something to do with the offset is this true or a load of tosh and he is just trying to sell me new wheels?? What do you reckon???
 
jack up on stands ,wheel chocks, adjust lock stops out make sure they push end on tothe stop else they willl bend. if still no good wheel spacers if your only talking a bit or wheels/tyres
I had to extend my lock stop bolts and make brakets off axle mounts to stop rubbing

some people must be really board to put f**k wit answers ,If all the topics have been coverd before and your tied of it ,take up anouther hoby,or turn the telly on , or talk to your wife (maybe not the last one) :dance:

if people are so fooking stupid , and carnt sit down and think for one min, why are my tyres rubbing......... then fook me.... They then come on here , asking the stupid question . and people like you feel so , so sorry for them ,and make it all better. ;):D now calm down dear , and go and watch telly , while talking to the wife. Have you not thought, we all can multi task, computer , telly and talk to the wife , all at the same time...:banana:

i have disco 1 steels on mine - they look better then standard and im going to spray them black as well - think next year OFF SET MODULARS HEAR I COME!!

But yer adjust the lock stops!
