Im looking to fit a lift to my disco and get some 265 75 16 boots on it. I currently have 235 75 16 Insa Turbo All Terrains on with plenty of tread on them. How much should I expect to get back for 4 with Land Rover Alloys?

Also where are doing good deals for tyres at the minute on black modulars? Im looking for an all terrain tyre as most miles are road miles. Insa Turbo Rangers for example. Cheapest I can find is over £500.

Or if somebody on the forum has 4 to sell.

You would be selling 2nd-hand remould tyres mate so they will be worth peanuts - sorry !

whats wrong with modern remoulds then ? if it was 1985 then yes id say oooh eerrrr don't bother but todays standards areone hell of a lot better . ok so some people might not go near them but I for 1 don't mind . got insa's on my landy and do a lot of motorway miles at moment and across crappy land when im shooting and not having any issues and had remoulds on a sports car with 420 bhp and never flinched once .. it just depends how big your budget is and how you treat those round black things ;-)

I don't disagree with anything you've said there mushy, but the OP asked what they were worth.

The value of something is not always dependent upon it's competence, but much more on it's desirability.

If the price of an average Insa remould is say £65-70 and you can buy the same size tyre from someone like General Grabber for maybe £90, which one would you choose?

Remoulds are better quality than they used to be but they are also a lot more expensive.

oh I know biglad ,, I was sort of responding to someones comment about them being remoulds ... wasn't trying to go off track so to speak ;-)

You're only selling the wheels. Second hand tyres are only good for keeping a parts chaser rolling IMHO.
I've just bought a set of wheels with some Michelin tyres on them with about the same amount of tread you have on your set. Paid £52 for the set of wheels and now have the hassle of paying to dispose of the tyres.

I just sold 3 265/75 Insas for £100 and a set of 4 on rims for £250 and I let them go cheap IMO

4 235s on rims are probably worth around £150-200 if they have plenty of tread left. Stick them on ebay and someone will rip your hand off, far too many tyre snobs on here :D :p

That's the answer I was hoping for, at least it contributes to my new pair of boots. Any suggestions on a nice tyre for a good price. I like your tyres on your thread.

Yer I thought the Kuhmos were well priced and not that much more than remoulds. I was also looking at the GT Radials which are supposed to be good. Cooper STTs are another consideration.
