Tyres for off road p38A

Easy,
I'm looking for a meaty set of off road tyres for 18inc rims up to 295/55 for two things, heavy mud and sand, also I also voluteer for the ambulance service in the bad weather (snow) so these are important :blabla: all the way.
Better to hear it from you guys.

and getting them in 18" pwaaaahahahahaha
keep the p38 for pimping around in and buy a cheap disco..will be cheaper in the long run

or put 16" d2 wheels on it and fit 265/75/16 insa turbos

hey, p38s are good off road when theyre not broken

why dont alot of people like the p38 for off road???ive herd quite a few that dont like them,are they prone to electic probs or just dont cut it,i own a 90,but just a bit miffd why they are not liked,best regards,nunny

Doubt you'll find anything other than road tyres in 295 55 18, so noiseys idea sounds like the best one!

hey, p38s are good off road when theyre not broken

insa,turbo,s are really good off road,i will be having some on mine after the 35 bfg,s have gone,good choice.and dont break the bank,you do get a bit of road noise when on tarmac,

took my p38 laning a few times and it was pretty capable but think its more the problems that come with them. The electrics dont like water, the car itself doesnt like being bounced around (had a few switches go off after one bumpy track) and the butlers get ****ed off buffing the scratches out

more to the point if you were designing a good off roader then you wouldnt put the cars brain under the passenger seat where it could get wet when wading would you? (LR did

been offroad with p38s and they were fine on road tires.I suspect the best tires to get are the easiest to get.

You would be better with 235/85/16 tyres you won't have to cut away at you arches and they are ace for off roading and i would say if you can find amazon technics or insa sahara/turbo pattern.
There is quite a few of us with rangy classics with size tyres and we can go anywhere mud,sand,snow and they are ok on road too.

maximum size of tyre for the p38 without any body mods is 245/75x16", these then allow full axle articulation and full steering clearance.

think you would struggle to get those on a P38 though without mods.

it aint modded that much apart from 4" suspension lift and 2" body lift and arches cut out

Hey dick, that is your name isn't it? Off road means off road not dicking around in mud like a dickhead. I've been in proper mud pal with my JCB so don't call the range pal. I probably know more than you in mud, not like the muddy discothèque your in, move on or be crushed.

Well that escalated quickly!

Tbh WLM is a knob at times, no place to call another LR for going off road, they're all as competent as each other, my mate off roads his 15k L322 because he can.

However two wrongs don't make a right, and we couldn't give a toss about your JCB experience, off roading as we know it is more than often for fun and that's the point, whatever vehicle you're using.
