I am considering purchasing a set of insa turbo special track tyres for my landy. I have a 2" lift kit with 16" wheels and was wondering what size tyre would best suit my off road needs they come in two sizes 235/85 r16 and 265/75 r16.

The guy in the shop said it was personal preference ride height vs width is he just full of ****.:)

I have the 265's on my 90 cant really fault them,,done around 1300 miles, 65% of them on the road and they dont seem to have warn at all, although my 90 sounds like an aeroplane taking off at around 50mph,look a million times better than 205's.

I'm having the same dilemma, which size do I go for 235/85/16 or 26575/16?

There to go on a RRC that already has 235/85/16 Greeenway Machos that have seen better days. Really good tyre though on & off road.

I've been reading that the Insa's are slightly larger due to being a remold, hopefully this is true as I would like a bit more clearance under the diffs.

Just wondering what the special tracks are like on & off road.

I have 265/75/16 special tracks. Off road they are great. On road you have to be wary of cornering too fast and or sharp. It also sounds like the police helicopter is following you everywhere. They are extremely noisey. They also catch on the radius arms on left lock so I have got to adjust the stops at some point.

Your Greenways are remoulds, the Macho and Insa Turbo Sahara are both copies of the Yokohama Geolander MT.

Compared my Saharas with a mates Machos for his Navara and I'd buy Saharas over Machos every time... they're about the same price but the quality of the Greenways in no way compared to the Insa Turbos.

FWIW 265/75s will be in the order of 2mm smaller diameter overall than 235/85 - bearing in mind that's 2mm compared to a total diameter of over 32inches and it makes stuff all difference to the ride height ;)

I have to say if you use the saharas they can be very tricky on wet roads but hell whoo buys them for road work, and another point they seem to wear oddly
