I have 2011 vogue se. I run 20inch and put 33 front and 36 on light weight. It says 39 n 45 if heavy load. Do most people follow this advice ?

The lower the profile on the tyre the less room for give when you hit a pothole. Personally I think modern cars have lost the plot trying for precision handling around corners over comfort and resilience to the impact of our roads.

If that's what it says, do what it says. Would you be kind enough to come back and let us know how 20" rims manage under heavy load. Just curious , as that size rim leaves little clearance on 'normal' loading, would like to have a 'did it ' true account of heavy load. Are you travelling far in her, under those conditions? Also , what are you classifying as heavy load?

Hi i class a heavy load as 5 adults a boot full of camping gear in including a generator. Roof rack and thule 570l roof box crammed with climbing gear supplies etc. On return i shall post my findings.

Great, thanks for the info. I look forward to seeing what the reality of 20" rims and rubber band tyres is, under load. We all hear about the negatives and I will admit I think it's a ludicrous set up for a 4x4. BUT I'm willing to see real results
