My disco 4 is fast approaching the need for new tyres, I currently have Pirelli Scorpion Zero 255/50 R20 Y (109) fitted and have been happy so far. Not being a great expert on such matters I thought I would seek advice to see if there are any other tyres I should be considering. I mainly drive on the road, but do use muddy / rough tracks on occasion when I go clay pigeon shooting or walking the dogs, so would welcome any thoughts on a AT type tyre if you feel it more appropriate. Thank you all in advance.
 
Cooper at3 are available as 265/50 r20.
I use at3 on td5 and never let me down off road or on road. Less aggressive tread than a full Mt tyre but seem to cope well with the very deep sloppy mud on hills on our local shoot.

Plus 1 , have the cooper AT/3 fitted on my D3 , smaller tyre being 235/70/17

Am very happy with them, quiet down motorways and were brilliant in the snow, didn’t even have to use the terrain response system, remained well planted

Ur owners manual will tell u ref sidewall rating, to ensure if it’s 109 or 111

Of course should never fit low profiles or it will make the ride terrible, inc the risk of easily damaging the tyre when off road if the sidewalk is narrow

If I may add if u haven’t got one yet ensure u buy a spare wheel anti theft plate or the spare will go walkies

They look great, but I am struggling to find 255/50 R20, the closest AT/3 tyre is 265/50 R20, I don't know if that would fit my wheel 265 is wider than 255. But still searching.

Sometimes it’s a case of ringing round ur local tyre dealers as sometimes if u buy them off line some tyre shops refuse to fit them

Not sure hey sell cooper but u can put ur reg number in so at least u can find out what size tyres will fit ok
