Tub cappings

Hi all

Just doing my defender refurb and fitted some tub cappings which differ slightly to the ones currently on the vehicle, the question is if I buy a set of led wipac lights will they fit the later type 94 onwards type of capping?

I know the RDX type do as I've one them on mine (straight swap), not 100% sure about Wipac though. Have you got the plastic inserts which go in the square holes for the two mounting screws?

No I don't will get a few next time I go to the local LR shop, never even seen a led set yet so not sure how they mount

The RDX ones are basically same fit as standard, plug the light connector into the wiring loom socket, then two screws through the lens and into the plastic inserts.

Yes, that's pretty much what mine look like and the LEDs were a straightforward swap. Yes, having the little plastic captive nuts helps.
