Hi.

I took me ages to get all the air out of the system, and I am quite confident its all out. The brake pedal is still soft. Does anybody have any ideas as into what is wrong with my brakes?

Please help...:)

got a bit of a way to cure it get a metal pump oilcan cut the tip off the pipe and fill with brake fluid connect that to the bleed nipple open that take the reservoire top off and pump fluid backwards through the systen itll push any air out the top of the system it works a treat with series 3 brakes
the other method was to jack the back end up till the wheels are 2ft of the deck then let it dribble bleed for an hour that used to work aswell

edit: are your rear shoes adjusted up so theyre close to the drum if not the extra travel on them will make the pedal feel spungy

So... do you end up with an over-filled brake reservoir or once done do you then bleed back out of the bleed nipple? I like the theory of the idea (having had lots of 'fun' with the 2a's brakes)

no just use an old fairy liquid bottle with a bit of pipe to syphon the exess fluid out of the reservoir it works a treat and learned that method from a motorcycle mechanic doing front disc brakes and addapted it to landys

the other method of jacking it up was the way i used to do it before learning the pump method

could also use an eazibleed bottle wich uses the pressure off the spare tyre to force fluid through the system but the thing used to be known for bursting the reservoires

If you've bled the brakes properly and they're still soft, its probably failed/failing master cylinder seals. I bled my Disco brakes with a one-way valve, no issues at all.
