Hi Guys,

I've experienced this only in the past few days, and other than describing it as a 'clunk' I don't know what to look for.

I appear to be getting a clunk every now and again, fairly violent, from what sounds like the transfer box.

This just happened to me on the way home tonight where I was doing a slow U-turn, on almost full lock, at low revs.

I don't lose drive when this happens, nor does anything otherwise 'feel' weird.

Any pointers much appreciated, so I can maybe find some more YouTube videos or threads. 🤞🏻

Might sound a dumb question, but what am I checking for? 🤣

You’ll know when you find it. If your not experienced YouTube these points as you’ll soon find someone like mike or tasmania rovers has it covered. You want to look for play in your UJs, excess slack in prop. FYI UJs are a consumable and they also have grease nipples that you need to use to refill the joint (as does the prop) as part of general maintenance.
to check wheels and associated connections/parts, jack up front end and look for play.
Knocking could be anything - a dead ball joint, a worn out ARB bush, worn half shaft/drive member. You need to have a thorough inspection 👍🏻
