Hard top! That's why we do class 1, no point in us trying to compete with buggys etc in class 2/3 in something that size.
12V/24V interchangable through front winch, ashcroft shafts & cvs, 4.11 ratio lockers, rest is pretty much what you would expect

24 v sswitchable is my next mod I think :)
 
The way I have done it wouldn't work for a twin motor winch, it'd burn out the solenoids I think. If I was to do it for a twin motor, I'd use 3 batteries & the changeover contacter that red winches supply and put that in a sealed waterproof box (otherwise you will be forever cleaning it out). I've had no problems at all with my setup, I know someone running the changeover contactor open to the elements and I think it's nothing but trouble because it's not sealed.

I've used SW80-390P | Albright Single Acting Solenoid | 12V | IP66 and SW82-2 | Albright Double Pole Single Coil Solenoid | 12V , ignore the ratings on the page - you need to read the data sheet to understand what current they are good for.
Prepare for worlds roughest wiring diagram...


2 solenoids on the right, top is to link in parallel for 12V, bottom is series for 24V. Means that one of the batteries does not charge when in 24V mode, but this hasn't been a problem.
 
Just been fettling and tidying for the past few days, tidied up the engine wiring, straightened some body pannels, re attached bits etc.

Tonight I've built up my beadlock spare, just need to drop the wheel on

And ive made a rock slider for the drivers side :)


Straightened a crossmember that got some pain :eek:


4" x2" x 8mm box :eek: haha

Its always fun when this is what the workshop looks like :D


Just gotta put the floor back in and a new windscreen and sges ready to go again :)
 
True that. I suffered the heavy damage of 1 cracked indicator lens, drove it home 160 miles today and all i needed to do was change back to road wheels. Must have been our lucky day!

Well It needed ttraybacking anyway and the body was getting in the way

Just need a tube bender now
:D

Ive got some different ideas for the rear tub ;)
