Well it all works got all the freespool and wiring installed in my raptor dash for now tested it in the yard attached the forklift to the hook and pulled her along nicely stood on the brakes and it kept on pulling so thats a good start

She'll get a priper test tomorrow just a few bits to do before she's ready (steering damper bracket and some tidying up )

Yep makes a massive differnce between it sticking out a foot and being flush

Can't wait to see one of these in action

I need a video of you running/walking/whatever with the line so
I can judge the pace!

To be honest its not quite as "fast" as i though it would be Its about 100ft a minute but it just pulls and pulls and pulls

I intentionally (mostly) put myself in some sticky situations to get out of incliding pulling myself through a thick bog that was half way up the door ! Just pulled through even with the engine turned off. Everyone commented "damn thats a good winch !"

When you compared it to some of the other winches there its just a different league

my 9500HS does 100ft in about 1 minute 20 seconds and i consider it a very quick lowline winch, but they dont have the load pace of the 8274

a mate of mine has a stock winch with a single bowmotor i think, i was lying on his bonnet holding the freespool in (lol) whilst we were dragging through a clay pit and it was like holy **** this thing does not slow down

so i can only imagine a gigglepin must be quite a sight to behold

very very nice mate and thoroughly jealous, but i mainly just want to see it in action

Not surprised, do they realise how much said winch costs
Winch tray looks good, much better that it's sat back flush instead of sticking out a mile.

Good day apart from ripping the exhaust off after 5 minutes and the engine dying at the end of the day and my trailer disco amd 90 all having to be trained out by a line of RRC's haha

I did mention the cost and they said "bloody hell" but still said it was good though

Yeah winch sits behind the front bracing bar for the challenge wings and behind the dumb irons for the chassis so its well protected I dont want to break it !! Haha

One time a stick came up through my engine bay and pulled the LT wires off my coil

Only did I realise that after around an hour of head scratching

aww man i didnt notice you at holy mud slide yesterday!!

I nearly rolled mine with the mrs in, she was crying and i had to get some spectator to spool my winch around a tree so i could pull myself back up haha...

I think I saw you ! Were you in a blueish disco l. Did you break something seemed like you were winching most of the way back to the car park ? Or was that someone else haha.

Blue 90.. Wasn't there too long.

Front winch worked well thank fook, rear winch spooled out with the clutch in because i didnt wanna swim through the mud to freespool it haha...



It got about 6 foot away from the tree i needed to winch to and stopped working... Turned out my drive belt was slipping and not turning the alternator pulley..

So no power for the rear winch...

then when i got it going again it wouldnt spool in so i put the cable in the back and drove forward and reverse a few hundred times to get out... turns out the winch was working and the wireless remote had packed up..


Haha not a real good day to be honest for me, took the mrs for the first time ever, everything i went towards she screamed DONT YOU ####ING DARE...


Then she cried, so i laughed, that didnt go down too well..
