Traction Control over the top

So Ive been looking around and haven't seen anyone else having the same problem as me. I have a 2003 Disco 2, and I'm pretty sure I have a problem with my traction control. It cuts in at random intervals, on the road. Go over a speed bump a little quick or even just potholes in the road the 'TC' light comes on the dash and I can here some sort of motor whirring from under the bonnet. Im pretty sure the previous owner knew about this as it has 2 brand new abs sensors on the front. Any suggestions on what could cause this would be appreciated.
