Wouldn't the diesel be even heavier on the front end?

Diesel manual is 232 lbs lighter on rear end. Diesel auto 243 lbs lighter. 4.0 litre manual and auto are 221 lbs lighter at rear. And 4.6 is same as diesel auto at 243 lbs lighter on arse end. Kerb side weights include a full tank of fuel and a 75 kilo driver. So it would seem someone had his forklift in the wrong place. :D:D
 
Well like I said, I DONT KNOW, im not saying I know more about it I do not, just saying i had same thing on some cars over the years and that woz the tracking but don't know about the RR, will ask him when I take it in wot it is, in fact might pop in and ask him.:confused2:

And as i said it doesn't matter what vehicle it is, the symptoms i described are the same for all. Road camber can play a part but that usually makes the N/S tyre wear more than the O/S if the track is out. Not the other way round. If the N/S tyre is good but the O/S is worn on the inner shoulder and the tyres have been on for the same amount of time, i would be looking at camber angle on the O/S. That would be the ball joints worn, if he has the tooling get him to check the camber angles on the front axle. Camber should be zero. :);)
 
Well could be that, I don't have a clue, he just said 45 quid to sort that out it would take about an hour, bit more if things are rusted up solid, and been under it this morning to do gearbox oil and things are rusty.:D

Moving the adjuster could be a problem then.

Don't know what he uses, but sticking optical gauges on and checking track takes about ten minutes. Altering the track if it's out and the adjuster moves takes another ten to fifteen minutes. If the adjuster is seized you could be looking at up to a couple of hours. Then he may need to adjust drag link. If track is a long way out he needs to find out what has caused it.
 
On the MOT weighing system, mine was 122 Kilo's lighter at the rear last time.
They check axle weights here so fitting a Cummins to a Classic would be a big no no.
 
It is the tracking, just called in on way home from work, both tyres are scrubing the inside, didn't notice the n/s as it aint that bad:rolleyes: will see Friday if it feels better when its done. Thank you for your replys Gentlemen.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
